This is a university project I did, which is aimed to understand the process of importing characters into Unreal Engine 4 and providing them with functionality, such as controls, animations, abilities etc. On top of that - building an environment with basic obstacles (animated platforms, trigger events etc.)

What is Aeryuu's Legacy?
Aeryuu's Legacy is the title of an experimental game I developed within Unreal Engine 4, its purpose was to explore the aspect of bringing a character into the engine along with learning the basics of the workflow between Maya and EU4.
Background Lore
TL;DR: You control a dragon character on a journey to explore the Aether realm, which is being corrupted by evil known as "Null". Seek out a ways to become stronger and ascend to higher forms in order to defeat the evil and save your realm.
Long ago, there was a realm of endless light and holy magic - the Aether. It was a large world of floating islands filled with many magical fantasy creatures. Some of these creatures were were intelligent dragons, who have lived in harmony in 4 main kingdoms, each dedicated to an element (air, water, fire, earth). All 4 of these elemets form the 5th known as Aether (Ae), which stands for "everyting" unified. Each kingom holds a powerful relic, which keeps the realm stable.
One faithful day a rift shred open, causing an evil force to spread and corrupt the Aether. Such a force was named "Null", which means nothing (the opposite of Aether). It began corrupting the living creatures, causing chaos among the dragon kingdoms. The leaders of each of the factions were unable to fight back, therefore they formed an alliance and built a sanctuary by the name of "Helior" and declared its powerful ruler - Aeryuu. He was a mighty dragon, who posessed the power of all elements, hoping to fight back the Null force.
He was perhaps the only one to stop the evil, but unsure of his return, he protected the sanctuary with a beacon, which projected a powerful shield to keep the monsters away.
A long time passed and the powerful dragon never returned, leaving everyone worried that the corruption only continues to advance closer, with all 4 kingdoms in ruins.
You as the player take the role of a dragon adventurer, who decides to venture out and seek any knowledge and retrieve the artifacts from the ruined kingoms in order to seek guidance and fulfill Aeryuu's task in closing the rifts between the 2 realms.
